헬무트 몰(Helmut Moll)

Father Helmut Moll, who wrote this article based on an earlier text of the late Father Johannes Fleckner SVD (1911–2003), is a Roman Catholic priest who was born in 1944 and studied theology and history in Bonn, Tübingen, Rome, Regensburg, and Münster. He received his doctorate in 1973 under the mentorship of Professor Joseph Ratzinger (later Pope Benedict XVI). Since 1976, he is a priest in the Archdiocese of Cologne, Germany. From 1984 to 1995, ha served in the Roman Curia, and from 1993 to 2004 was consultor at the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. From 1998, he serves as the delegate of the German Conference of Catholic Bishops for the history of the 20th-century martyrs. He is professor of hagiography at the Atheneum of Weilheim (Black Forest).
