제네바에서 열린 중국에 대한 국가별 정례인권 검토(UPR)에서 북한이 발표한 성명서를 본지에 게재하도록 하겠다. 너무나 어처구니없게도, 전세계적으로 최악의 인권 기록을 두고 중국에 필적하는 북한이 중국의 “인권 신장 및 보호”와 반“컬트” 투쟁을 찬양하고 있다.
당국은 중국으로 망명하기 위해 임신 중이던 탈북 여성을 본국으로 추방했다.2013년, 리금화(가명)는 목숨을 걸고 탈북했다. 그녀는 중국으로 피난해 랴오닝성의 단둥(丹東)시에 정착하고자 했다.
중국 당국은 탈북자들을 북한으로 송환하고 있으며 이는 명백히 국제 인권 협정을 위반하는 행위이다.지린(吉林)성 린장(臨江)시에 거주하는 60대 장리(張立)는 2년 전, 북한 출신으로 당시 18세였던 아내가 중국 공산당에 의해 강제로 북한에 송환되었다고 비터 윈터에 전했다.
